Dr. Nancy Hoffer
In 2019 Frank and Tina invited me to become a Disciple with the Wu Tang Physical Culture Association. I am a true beginner in this journey. With almost nine years of study with Frank - which might sound like a lot - I am Junior Disciple. Frank and Tina have been my only teachers. They know their stuff and they teach it all inside of a Martial system.
What I did bring with me to this discipline was extensive training and experience as a dancer. The movements are different, but some things never change like focus perseverance spatial awareness and fluidity. I started with Tai Chi and then Frank invited me to try the Bagua classes. He said dancers like Bagua.
Of all the dance forms I know I think Ballroom dance that has the greatest connection to martial arts because of the 2-person work Frank teaches and the positioning one need for Ballroom.
In closing, I would very much like to give special shout out to Franks assistants Marcos Rivera and Chris Mondello. They back up everything Frank teaches. they are Great teachers great role models and I depend on them every class.
I never thought I would get this far.
